Sweet Children's Book

I just read Child of Faerie, Child of Earth to my five-year-old daughter. I've had this book on my list of books that I wanted and finally got it. I am glad I did!

School Shopping Time

The time has come for school shopping.  I dread the hemorraging of money for school supplies, school fees, and school clothes (oh yeah, and school taxes).  Friday is the day to take care of the clothing part of it.  I'm going after jeans and mbt shoes. I'm not that concerned with shirts just yet since it's still warm for a couple months at least and they have plenty of summer t-shirts.

What's the deal with having to pay school fees AND school supplies?  I thought the fees were taken care of with taxes.  We pay state and school taxes.  Money, money, there goes the money...
