School Shopping Time

The time has come for school shopping.  I dread the hemorraging of money for school supplies, school fees, and school clothes (oh yeah, and school taxes).  Friday is the day to take care of the clothing part of it.  I'm going after jeans and mbt shoes. I'm not that concerned with shirts just yet since it's still warm for a couple months at least and they have plenty of summer t-shirts.

What's the deal with having to pay school fees AND school supplies?  I thought the fees were taken care of with taxes.  We pay state and school taxes.  Money, money, there goes the money...

Pecked to Death by a Duck

I saw this little sign in a country store and couldn't resist buying it and hanging it in my house.  Of course, my kids don't appreciate it but they will...when they have their own kids.

It's amazing how much love you can feel for these little people and in the next minute, they're frustrating the heck out of ya.  It's enough to send me to prototype 37c in fear of wrinkles!

We have about nine weeks together and I'm trying to figure out how to keep things fun but organized, interesting without major frustration.  It's the last summer before my littlest one goes off to school.  Then she turns into one of THEM and she's no longer my baby anymore.

Going Back to College

I have wanted to go back to school since my first child was born.  She is now 13 years old and my youngest starts kindergarten in August.  What a great time for me to start school as my baby leaves me to go to school with her siblings.

I am looking for a school to get an online degree.  With four kids and two stepkids, it's the easiest solution for me to study online around their schedules as much as possible.  I am checking out Western Governors University right now.

They offer programs for teaching, business, technology and health programs.  I would love to get an online business degree.  Their tuition is based on a flat rate (not per credit hour).

I was wondering about the name including 'Governors' and I came across interesting information on their web site.  19 governors from 19 states founded this college!

With federal aid or a low-interest loan, I wonder if we could swing my going back to school.
